BIT was established in the year of 1986 and managed by Bhilai Institute of Technology Trust. It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Ministry of H.R.D. Govt. of India.
