About Manipur Rural Bank
Manipur Rural Bank was established on 28/05/1981 as a joint undertaking of Government of India, Govt. of Manipur and United Bank of India by contributing share capital at the ratio 50: 15: 35 respectively. The Bank started its operation with an objective of economic development of the rural people of the state, particularly the weaker sections by participating in different poverty alleviation programmes of Central & State Governments. The paid-up Share Capital of the Bank remains unchanged at Rs. 10000 thousand at the end of the year, subscribed by Govt. of India, Govt. of Manipur and United Bank of India(Sponsor Bank) in the ratio of 50:15:35 respectively.
