Research Associate (Rice MetaSys)

Pay Scale:Consolidated Rs.24000/‐ for Ph.D. holders and for MSc holders Rs.2000/‐ for first wo years & Rs. 23000/- from 3 rd year onward (+ 30% HRA)

Educational Requirements:Ph.D. Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ alied sciences; or M.Sc in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ alied sciences with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least wo years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship /Training/ other engagements.

Experience Requirements:4-5 years research experience in molecular biology techniques, plant issue culture and genetic transformation in rice and data analysis. Published research papers will be desirable.

How To Apply: Eligible candidates may apear in Walk-in Interviews on February 09, 2015 at 10.0 AM for the posts of Research Asociates, Young Profesionals – I & SRFs/JRFs in the areas of (i) Plant Biotechnology (i) Genomics, (i) Plant Molecular Biology and (iv) Bioinformatics for ICAR/DBT funded projects. The details of diferent positons, date of interviews and aplication form can be downloaded from the website (www.nrcpb.org).

General Instructions: The positons are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and are initaly ofered for one year. The candidates must bring four copies of biodata (strictly in the format atached) along with original certificates and self-atested photocopies of each of the documents/ certificates and one recent pasport size photograph. No TA/DA would be given for apearing in the interview. Only the candidates having esential qualifications would be considered for the interview. Persons already in employment should bring “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer. The decision of the Project Director of this Instiute wil be final and binding in al aspects. The person employed wil have no right o claim employment or engagement in ICAR at he end of the contract period. In case of any disputes, it wil be resolved within the jurisdiction of New Delhi Court only.
